I just had the feeling of reading a vampire novel recently. It probably have to do with the new season of True Blood that started last week. You can find them anywhere now, vampire novels. New ones being publish at least once a month, the ones before twilight becoming TV series or getting reprinted. Although I’m starting to think that the vampire bloom is finally slowing down. No doubt Twilight and vampires will be the talk of me to my grandchildren. “Yeah. There was a time we were obsess with vampires like you are now being obsess with robots and what not.”

This was one of the books that was publish before Twilight became a hit. The vampires in this book is almost normal like humans except they drink blood. Other than that they aren’t scare of garlic, they have reflections, they can walk on day light, but they can be stake (which kills pretty much anyone that are or are not vampires), and biting the neck is somewhat like sex… I found out about it because of a fanfiction I was reading.

It’s pretty “nice” for vampire book. I feel that it was somewhat boring since we don’t actually get to see the climax (the main hero killing his evil uncle) but was just skip to the heroine going back to her birth place and trying to get the hero to marry her… Oh! But I have to say that the plot did sounded interesting. A vampire fiancee telling you that you’re a vampire princess. It didn’t turn out the way that I would find interesting.

I wonder if I can ever find another great vampire series other than Dark Hunters… Well… I guest things like that only come once every century or so.
